NW Hills Terrace

In the serpentine slopes of Portland’s Northwest Hills, reclaiming meaningful square footage can be a challenge. With careful engineering, trusted trade partners, and a thoughtful design team, this project turned steep terrain into opportunity.

Our clients envisioned a lower-level exercise room that opened directly to the outdoors. The design introduced egress to a generous deck with space for a fire pit, a sculptural stainless-steel hot tub formed in a single piece, and custom steel planter beds crafted in collaboration with a landscape design firm.

The result is more than added square footage—it’s a layered outdoor retreat that extends daily living and frames a magnificent downtown view.
